Text Box: Summer News All change this close season, with the loss of several players to the new Berrow Sunday side. However old favourites Neil Nibblet and Paul Manktelow look set to return. Pre season training has also unearthed young local players - promising indeed.                 ********** Well as threatened last summer, the pitch has been moved and narrowed, allowing East Huntspill Cricket Club to construct an all weather strip. This has also allowed a much worn goal mouth to receive its long awaited maintenance.               ********** The club has once again won the "fair play" award from the B & D league. Not only is this a great piece of silver ware but entitles us to play in the Referees Cup final on the 23rd of August. This is used as a new season curtain raiser and will be played at Bridgwater Football Club with a 2.30pm KO

Text Box: Presentation Night 09. The Ritz, B-o-S hosted the Crowns annual bash with music from "slim boy fat" and a return visit from funny man Russ Williams. Once again the evening was a huge success, with over 130 people present to see Mandy Murthy win £100 playing "kings & queens" and a list of deserving players collecting their trophies. Ashley Massingham cleaned up on the top playing awards winning player and players player of the year awards. Russel Catlow collected the golden boot award, whilst Andy Kitch's continual improvement earned him recognition. Mr Huntspill Crown, Ian Howgate picked up the clubman award and returned with Andy to the front of stage to both collect the squad men trophies. However the big trophy (chairman's cup) went  to a big club favourite. Many times Graham Smith can complain of being the bridesmaid, never the bride. This year his commitment and fine organisational skills were rewarded - and rightly so! A big thank you to our trophy sponsors; K.Beechey, R.Davey, Jayvee Plastics, B.Whitcombe, Murco Garage
